Bow and Arrow herbicide contains a dual mode of action for improved performance and resistance management. It has a unique three-way action that provides extended weed control in most situations. Outstanding broadleaf weed control and also excellent turf safety on cool and warm season grasses. It has very low application rates of active ingredients and is a non-ester formulation. What do selective herbicides kill like Bow and Arrow herbicides? A selective herbicide kills or retards the growth of an unwanted plant while causing little or no harm to desirable species being your cool or warm season grass lawn. This selective herbicide controls weeds such as White clover, Plantain, Capeweed, Cats Ear, Bindii, Jo-Jo, Cudweed, and Creeping oxalis. Apply at a rate of 50ml in 2-5lts of water to cover 100sqm.
For best results, the turf and weeds should be actively growing at the time of treatment. Complete weed death may take up to 6 weeks. Faster results can be expected on smaller and younger weeds. Residual effects of diflufenican over-seeding treated areas within 3 months of application may inhibit the establishment of the turf grass. Avoid mowing during the 2 days before and after treatment if possible. Warm-season grasses are more prone to weed invasion as the growth slows down during the cooler months of the year. When to apply Bow and Arrow herbicide depends on the type of weed you’re dealing with and whether you’re treating them pre or post-emergently. Treating the weeds post-emergently means that they’re already sprouted and are visible above ground. Application of this herbicide is most common in Late Autumn and early Spring. If possible try to apply this herbicide before weeds start to seed and the weed seed bank in your lawn increases. Allowing broadleaf weeds to mature can also reduce turf density and turf health as it smothers the grass resulting in reduced turf coverage.
This herbicide can cause Transient discoloration on Kikuyu, Carpet grass, and Queensland Blue Couch. Varietal differences in certain Buffalo grasses (e.g. ST85) may produce more pronounced effects and it is recommended that small areas be tested for turf safety before large-scale application occurs. Apply using a suitably calibrated sprayer for good coverage of target weeds. Avoid exceeding application rates by overlapping sprayed areas.
Bow and Arrow herbicide should not be applied if rain is expected within 4 hrs if frosts are expected or your grass in under stress. It can be mixed with Lawn Rules range of liquid fertilizers and soil amelioration products as the pH of our products ranges between 5.5-7.5pH and we have tested the compatibility on various sites.
This will save multiple applications and assist in quick grass recovery when the weeds die leaving you with a weed-free healthy lush lawn the envy of all your neighbors in the street.
